Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, James is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Following his commissioning, he served as a Naval Flight Officer in the E-2 Hawkeye, the U.S. Navy’s carrier-based Airborne Command and Control platform.
After completing his active-duty service, James began the next chapter of his career with Murphy Matza Wealth Management. His desire to continue serving others—combined with a long-standing interest in financial planning and investments—made the transition into wealth management a natural fit. James is currently pursuing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation as he works in support of his clients and community with exceptional dedication and care.
James and his wife, Dana, have been married since 2018 and live in Cary, North Carolina with their children, Isabella and Matteo, and their dog, Pearl. The family attends St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary, where they enjoy volunteering with several ministry groups.
In their spare time, James and Dana enjoy attending concerts and cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes.
